Elderly travel assistance

Senior Travel Companions, door to door.

When an elderly parent or grandparent can no longer fly alone, we send one vetted companion who stays with them from their front door to the arms of the family waiting on the other side — with the dignity and care your family deserves.

What's included.

  • Home pickup and escort to the airport
  • Check-in, security, and wheelchair or cart assistance
  • Boarding support and a seat beside your loved one
  • In-flight help with meals, medication reminders, and restroom trips
  • Connections and terminal transfers handled in person
  • Baggage claim, customs, and immigration assistance
  • Ride to the final address and in-person handover
  • Real-time updates to the family at every stage

How the journey works.

1. Trip planning call

We learn about your parent — mobility, language, medication timing, dietary and religious needs — and match a companion accordingly.

2. Door-to-door escort

The companion arrives at the home, handles bags and check-in, and stays beside the traveler through every step of the journey.

3. Updates in real time

The family receives messages at pickup, check-in, boarding, landing, and arrival, so nobody is left wondering.

4. In-person handover

The trip ends only when your loved one is at the destination address, with the family member or caregiver expecting them.

Routes and starting rates.

Starting rates are per one-way trip, before the companion's own ticket. Final quotes depend on routing, dates, and the level of care required.

Questions families ask us.

What does a senior travel companion actually do?

A companion meets your parent or grandparent at their home, travels with them the entire way, and hands them over in person at the destination. That includes luggage, check-in, security, wheelchair or cart assistance, boarding, staying beside them in flight, help with meals, medication reminders, restroom trips, connections, baggage claim, customs, and the ride to the final address.

Is this the same as the airline's unaccompanied senior or wheelchair service?

No. Airline assistance is handed off between staff at each stage and stops at the terminal door. Our companion is one named person who stays with your loved one door to door, including the ground legs on both ends.

Can a companion help with a wheelchair or walker?

Yes. We arrange airport wheelchair service in advance and the companion stays with the traveler through every transfer. We also travel with walkers, canes, oxygen paperwork and other mobility equipment.

What about medication and dietary needs?

Companions can carry the medication schedule and give reminders, though they do not administer medical treatment. Kosher meals, timing around davening, and other dietary or religious needs are arranged as part of the trip plan.

Can you request a male or female companion?

Yes. Most families request a companion of the same gender as the traveler, and that is our default unless you tell us otherwise.

How much does a senior travel companion cost?

Short domestic trips start at $250, New York to Toronto or Montreal from $350, and New York to Tel Aviv from $550. Those are starting rates before the companion's own ticket; the final quote depends on routing, dates, and the level of care required.

How far in advance should we book?

Two to three weeks gives us the widest choice of companions and better fares. We do take urgent and last-minute requests, including medical discharges and family emergencies, whenever a companion is available.

How will we know how the trip is going?

You get real-time updates at every milestone: pickup, check-in, boarding, landing, and the final handover, with a photo or call confirming your loved one is safely with the person meeting them.
